USL News Release

TAMPA, FL – United Soccer Leagues launched a network of league-specific websites Friday, providing fans of each of USL’s leagues a distinctly-branded home base on the web. While the new USL Soccer Network features the same distinct USLsoccer.com home page encompassing all of USL’s professional and amateur leagues, it now offers unique sites for each league as well. The new sites offer easier navigation, new and improved content options and a unique league brand for soccer fans to connect with while continuing to provide all the latest news, scores and features from throughout USL.

The five new stand-alone sites feature USL PRO – First Division (USLfirstdivision.com), USL PRO – Second Division (USLseconddivision.com), the Premier Development League (USLpdl.com), the W-League (USLwleague.com) and USL Youth Development (USLsuper20league.com, Superyleague.com). An easy-to-use drop down box will allow fans to easily navigate back and forth between the various league sites on the USL Soccer Network.

“This new structure will make it easier for fans to access and navigate their favorite league website,” said James Ward, USL Senior Director, Commercial Development. “Furthermore, USL continues to focus on initiatives that strengthen each league’s identity while enhancing the visibility of our teams and their marks.”

Fans visiting the new USL First Division, USL Second Division, PDL, W-League and Youth Development sites will receive the latest news and notes regarding each league as well as team and player information, schedules, stats and standings. The addition of a “News” tab on each site will offer fans access to a variety of new USL features such as the “Technical Edge” series of training tips offered by USL National Technical Director Peter Mellor and the “USL Success Stories” series highlighting some of the many national and international stars who have developed their careers in USL leagues. The “News” tab will also offer fans access to all the scores and highlights from national and international events featuring USL clubs, such as the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and the CONCACAF Champions League.

Another new addition to the sites is an “Events” tab where fans can go for features and info about annual USL events such as USL SoccerFest, men’s and women’s player combines and the Super Y-League ODP showcases.

USLsoccer.com and the new league sites were developed by USL partner Demosphere International. Based in Northern Virginia, Demosphere has catered to the technology needs of soccer organizations for more than 15 years.
